Why large displacement v8 for SuperDuty

2 reasons from my time in the industry: #1: Different emissions and fuel economy standards for super duty chassis. #2: Heavy duty transmissions have different bolt patterns than "passenger" duty. Need the engine to match up which influences torque converter or flywheel size.

I would love for it to be a permanent track but I've only seen press releases mentioning it has temporary. Do you have a source for it being permanent? That would be great news.

My insurance is relatively cheap for my aluminum F150. I expected a jump but never saw it.

2019 Chevy Cruze to offer disabling auto start stop.

It will very likely have to be set each time the car is key cycled. GM still gets CAFE credit if it kicks back on after a key cycle. It is that simple, if they want CAFE credit it had to turn on automatically when the vehicle is started. Sorry for repeating a couple times but there is a lot of...

    Active Grille Shutters

Is there a thermostat in the transmission cooler loop? Newer F150s have one that don't fully open until fluid temps runs just above 200. I would imagine it might be something similar here.

how do waiters keep track of who ordered what?

Typical is whoever is to the left of the server when standing looking at the table is customer #1. The numbers then go clockwise from there. So in the case of 8 the person on the right closested to the server would be 8 1 2 3 4 Server ->facing direction 8 7 6 5

What causes alignment to go out of spec?

Sometimes a bushing can be bound up after and alignment and when you hit the pot hole it gets knocked loose. This is more common on alignment settings at the far end of specs but can happen to any unit. Alternatively, you can hit a pot hole hard enough that the bushing temporarily deforms and...

How to convince wife it's time for a new car?

Cars are emotional purchases so showing hard figures for dollars and cents will not always be successful. I've would try getting her to have a position emotional reaction to a new vehicle. Figure out what feature she wishes she had and start dropping hints about what new vehicle would have that...

    New Miata

The new chassis is easily one of the most fun cars around, hence why my signature looks the way it does.
