Quietest oil used/oil recommendation for '16 KIA Forte

Where was it made? What grade oil did you use? Revved the engine much?
Korea, always had 5w-30 synthetic, somewhat, but no where near my Kona. The Elantra GT was my wife's car for 3/4 of its mileage and mine the last 1/4. So far my tuned 1.6T Gamma in my Kona AWD has held together to it's 45,000 mile mark. It gets thrashed daily. But that happens to one of Hyundai's best motors, purely by luck.

I have not noticed a huge difference between oils in our ownership of wife's 2013 elantra GT with the nu 1.8. Now with 167,000mi.

The valvoline maxlife blend 5w-30 and champ xl filter in it now runs a bit quieter and quiets down more quickly than the QSFS 5w-20 and champ non-xl filter that was in it. But is that the fresh oil, viscosity, or better filter I really can't say.

I do think 5w-30 runs quieter overall than 20wt, but only a little bit. I have typically run 30wt in the summers and 20wt in the winter and it has worked fine on both.

QS FS 10W30. NOTHING comes close for quiet, IME.

It goes in my rapping Ford 2L in the Spring; which is currently hot rapping like Marshall Bruce Mathers III on Valvoline 5w30.

You gotta have a low VM load, just any 5W-Xx aint gonna cut it
