the two folds are from me looking into the media. looks good and the engine must be decently clean.

they were good. i inspect all of them before they get spun on.

virtually silent valve train compared to the 0w-20 but the truck has been down waiting on a set of motor mounts. it will be returned to its operator tomorrow

My 2009 5.3 was not quiet in the Silverado.. Ran good, but.. FIL bought and sold after sunroof developed slight leak..

what oil did you run? in my experience LS engines like Valvoline for a quiet valve train. M1 always makes them louder.

I used 5W30 Mobil 1 and Castrol in the black bottle. No real change. Had 110000 miles... Smooth, but I think the biggest issue was OCI. The 4 cylinder mode was not a good design and would make a valvetrain noisy if you didnt change oil often. I did 5k OCI

also, another truck truck has almost 10k miles on the oil already and it has used down to the halfway mark on the dipstick. i will not be topping it off. i’ll be sending a sample off for a UOA.

Nope, i just like to try new stuff out so i can cut them open to compare, I still have my lifetime prepper stash of FS3600 stored in ammo cans.

nope, the fleet gets carquest premiums or endurances and my personal vehicles get OG wire backed titanium’s.
