Does UCL, 2 stroke oil, MMO cause valve deposits etc?

MMO is kind of like a cleaner. It has everything in it. It's a snake oil! Does everything and nothing at the same time.

Do different states have different blends?

On my way to work today was listening to financial podcast. They were talking about inflation, of course, and cost difference on daily consumables. They mentioned a price of gas and that every state has their own fees and taxes associated with it. Duh, not the news to anybody. But recently I...

Rotella t6 vs amsoil heavy duty

What are you running it in? Heavy duty and big loads or just normal daily driving operations? If you not extending drain intervals and not running abnormal (over 7500 miles) long drain cycles just use whatever is cheaper. Personally, I run Kirkland 15W40 in my 01 Ram 2500 Cummins at 5000 miles...

Extra oil for 2 stroke break in?

It has been stated here many times that most of the manufacturers "recommend" 50:1 due to EPA requirements. But if you talk to any dealer, talk to older tech, not a new kid that just got a job there. They'll tell you to run it more oil rich than 50:1. Personally, I don't get into depths of one...

New lawn mower blades don't seem very sharp

Unless your yard is pristine golf course like grass i would not worry about sharpness of blades. You run over sticks, stones, sand, dirt, mulch and other things that will dull your blade quickly. Keep it straight edge, but not razor sharp.

Can't find Lucas extra heavey duty grease

I bought last three tubes of Lucas HD grease from local Advance Auto parts store, I've called total of 7 stores (Auto Zone, O'Reilly's and Advanced Auto) and only found one store that had them about 3 months ago. Between factory burning down and general supply chain issues no stores round had...

Do you get corrosion from not changing coolant?

I would drain coolant properly. Catch what ever comes out. Then I would connect water hose and fill it. by now what ever left over in the system will be diluted enough to make it safer. Then start the engine, open radiator on the bottom and let it run/flush for couple of minutes. Then I would...

Do you get corrosion from not changing coolant?

Just to flush everything out.i will drain it after that and fill with coolant. I was just thinking if it would be okay to put home water pressure through the system. I don't know what is working pressure of 01 Dodge ram 2500.

Do you get corrosion from not changing coolant?

I'm about to do a coolant flush on my 01 Cummins. Can I stick water hose in the radiator and run my truck while it flushed all of the old coolant out and just leaves water in the system. Would pressure from the hose do anything to the coolant system while it's running?

    SDS rotor hammer drill grease

Purchased a used SDS Max rotor hammer drill for couple upcoming house projects. It did not come with a grease. When I used my dad's rotor hammer drill, he had same brand grease that I put on the bits before installing them. I have tube of Super Lube grease, spray on white lithium grease, HD...

Can't find Lucas extra heavey duty grease

I was lucky to find 3 tubes of it at Advanced auto. I never shop at advanced auto but I guess I have to check on all of them if I really need something.

Can't find Lucas extra heavey duty grease

And of course I use the world's rarest grease now, just my luck. Been checking stores around here in SC and this one is nowhere to be found. I really don't want to pay $25 a tube.

Can you notice the difference in ST 2-cycle oils?

Are there any two stroke that doesn't have stabilizer in it. I don't remember seeing one. Even big jugs for outboard motors have stabilizer in them now. I still like to add a little bit of Marine Stability 360

    MMO = No Go

I haven't had any issues with adding MMO to any of my 2 strokes. I guess I do ran my tools a bit lean because I try to do 40:1 mix plus MMO. Las time I took off exhaust or looked down the bore I haven't seen any scaring or wear marks though. I guess good oil helps.

Can you notice the difference in ST 2-cycle oils?

I know for sure I have seen ashless oil. But I don't think I ever paid attention if there is low ash oil. Might have to take a look next time I'm at the store.

Can you notice the difference in ST 2-cycle oils?

You are not completely wrong. Every oil has a different die and maybe a little bit more of one additive than the other.

Did Walmart stop selling VP 2 stroke oil?

Nothing special. It has all the ratings, it's priced right, readily available at the store and I like the way it smells. I guess price is being a deciding factor. It being offered in Walmart since I know I'll visit it at least once a week. There are a lot of people here that use it and have...
