Model 3 Performance - Pulled the trigger

I always thought it looked cool, but I hadn’t thought of that. I had a Jag with a light tan, almost white and it was just took so much effort to keep clean. I kept it up but it definitely wasn’t designed with blue collar worker dirty jeans in mind. I had tinted windows so I don’t remember...

Model 3 Performance - Pulled the trigger

That fits every performance car. Doesn’t mean you don’t pay for the privilege. Figure a site about cars would have a healthy amount of car enthusiasts that do just that. I know I do. I could have bought a base $23k Jetta if I just wanted a VW with 4 doors.

Here's More Proof Tesla Faked Its Claims ...

Intended audience was the purpose of my comment. It’s just to sell a vehicle and the sales pitch doesn’t speak to you. The Cybertruck isn’t for me either.

Model 3 Performance - Pulled the trigger

I’ve got to say I thought it looked generic in pictures until I saw it in person. I think they did well here.

Tesla just laid off entire new vehicle team and supercharging team

Time to realize fuel economy standards will continue to tighten. The mindless hate of EVs isn’t going to change that. They don’t care if we drive EVs or walk. Tech needs to continue to improve for charging, but if EVs in general fail it’s not going to change CAFE requirements. The idea of...

The first 2 minutes of this video say it all even if I won’t own it either.

Tesla is a pain in the rear to deal with

I have no idea their fee structure. I made the $250 deposit and then handed them a check when I picked up the car. The total cost was what was shown to the penny when I committed to the sale when I put the deposit down. Taxes were paid when registering the vehicle. I wouldn’t have the...

Model 3 Performance - Pulled the trigger

I could answer that myself. It’s faster, just got the redesign, and isn’t a crossover. That’s why I would buy one. It’s why we bought the regular Model 3 instead of the Model Y. The Model Y is popular for obvious reasons, but it’s a tall, ungainly looking version of the Model 3 to me.

I think it’s simpler than that. Acceleration a strong suit of the tech and easily measured. There’s not a bigger spec arguing segment of the vehicle market than the full size truck. I’ve never seen a vehicle that caused more hurt feelings than a pickup truck. Whether it’s actually needed or...

Model 3 Performance - Pulled the trigger

It isn’t a required purchase at least. I’m not a fan and won’t pay for it. I have tried it and it’s not for me.

Checked out 2022 ID4 yesterday and new 2023 with massive discount

If I absolutely needed a car right now I think I’d be tempted by the deals on the ID.4 since I can’t use the Tesla financing incentives in Wisconsin.

Tesla is a pain in the rear to deal with

I do think that will ease over time when people get more comfortable EVs for private or third party repair. There's just not enough demand for such a service with so few old ones being on the road currently. My wife and I were just talking about this when it comes to my GTI. If something did...

Tesla is a pain in the rear to deal with

If it happens in 8 then I'm getting a new battery under warranty. If it lasts me 10-15 years we'll see what my options are. If it lasts 15 years I'll throw my wheeled iPhone out for pennies as a trade in and buy another one. I got my money's worth not buying gas in that time. It's a pretty...
